ABOUT
A perspective shaped over time
For more than twenty years, I have explored movement
through practice, academic study in sport science, and
different approaches to the body and breath.
Over time, my perspective has shifted from what the body is capable of doing to how it organizes itself to do it.
From this exploration came a conviction: before seeking to change the body, we must first learn to perceive it.
This conviction now lies at the heart of Le Mouvement Vivant.

Learning through the body
From gymnastics to contemporary dance and later yoga, movement has been part of much of my life.
Contemporary dance profoundly shaped my perspective. It taught me to explore rather than reproduce, to become aware of support, space, rhythm and sensation, and to discover that freedom of movement does not always come from greater effort.

It must also be experienced.”

Questioning the body
My academic training in Sport Sciences gave me a strong
foundation in anatomy, physiology and movement science. Other approaches to the body, breath and perception later broadened
this perspective.
I do not see them as a collection of methods, but as different ways of exploring and understanding the body.

“Le corps ne se comprend pas seulement
par la connaissance.
Il se comprend aussi par l’expérience.”
Observe before intervening
For fifteen years, in France and the United States, I
taught children and young adults through university
level. My training in linguistics and language education further enriched this experience of teaching.
Those years taught me that everyone learns differently, and that a single model cannot suit everyone.
Today, this understanding is central to the way I work: observing the body, but above all helping each person develop their own capacity to perceive it, listen to it and understand what it needs

The path to Le Mouvement Vivant
From this journey emerged Le Mouvement Vivant, the
approach I have developed around the body, movement and
perception.
Observe before acting.
Understand before correcting.
Experience to make it your own.
Le Mouvement Vivant supports the body’s capacity to adapt, change and rediscover its own balance
