LE MOUVEMENT VIVANT

The body, our first home

We can spend years living in our bodies without ever truly feeling at home in them.

Le Mouvement Vivant invites us to rediscover this connection: to perceive the body, understand how it organizes itself and experience the pleasure of moving naturally.

The body is not a fixed structure. It learns, adapts and changes through experience.

Preserving this capacity means maintaining mobility, strength and freedom of movement, and sustaining vitality over time.

And as the body regains freedom, the way we feel, the way we are present to ourselves and the way we relate to others can evolve too.

An approach shaped by different perspectives

Le Mouvement Vivant is an approach to the body and movement developed by Céline Sempé through more than twenty years of exploration and movement practice.

Rooted in sports science, it has been enriched by yoga, postural and breathing approaches, fascia work, somatic practices and contemporary dance.

Together, these perspectives offer different ways of exploring breathing, support, mobility, strength, perception and the organization of the body.

They do not form a protocol to be followed, but a body of knowledge and experience to draw from in responding precisely to the needs of each individual.

Begin with what is

Le Mouvement Vivant begins by observing the body as it is today: its breathing, its relationship to support and the way it moves.

From this observation, movement is adapted to the individual through mobility, breathing, strength work, appropriate postures and freer forms of exploration.

The aim is not to pursue an ideal form, but to understand what can be adjusted so that the body can expand its possibilities.

With practice, sensations become more refined and the body’s signals become clearer. Gradually, each person learns to recognize what their body needs.

The body becomes familiar territory again.

“To feel at home in your body is to rediscover the pleasure of freedom.”
